Fire sprinklers are connected to water fire lines and will automatically activate when dangerous gases and the heat from fire reaches sensors in predetermined zones at about 68 degrees Celsius.

The automatic fire sprinkler system is also capable of sounding alarm systems and notifying the emergency services to alert anyone outside the premises. However, the design philosophy in most of the cases is for the fire sprinkler system to extinguish the fire before the fire services arrive.
